Liposculpture is easy—even for patients who live out of town.

Our office has several patients who drive or fly in for their procedure every week. Our office has a dedicated private room where out of town patients can relax, watch television, enjoy snacks and wait for their flight.  We also have a spacious family lounge with couches, refreshments and television where friends and family can wait during the patient's procedure. Our office is in the heart of Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive and out of town patients often enjoy some shopping and celebrity watching around our office before or after their procedure. There are many hotels, shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Does Dr. Bittner treat out of town patients?

Yes.  Domestic and international patients are welcome. Several patients fly in for their procedure every week.  After your procedure, you will be given all the medications and garments that you need for your recovery.  Follow up appointments are at your convenience and are not required. Our office has fluent English, Spanish and French speaking staff.

Do I need a consultation first?

No. If you are under age 60, in good general health, and have not previously had liposuction in the areas you would like treated, consultations are not required.  If you do not have the opportunity to schedule a consultation before your procedure, our staff will spend extra time with you immediately before the procedure begins to make sure all your questions and concerns are answered. If you do not meet the requirements, please email pictures of the areas you would like treated along with your basic medical history to our office at info@dralanbittner.com.

What if I make an appointment but I am not a good candidate?

If you have not previously had a consultation with our staff and you arrive for your appointment and our staff does not think you are a good candidate or you are not pleased with the anticipated results we explain to you, you will be refunded 100% of your deposit and procedure fee.

Do I need to know exactly what areas I want treated before arriving?

No. We always leave extra time for our out of town patients in case they decide to add on additional areas.  You will be charged for any additional areas on the day of the procedure and you will be fully refunded for any areas that are not treated.  Be aware that adding on additional areas can cause you to need to change your travel plans since the number of areas you can have treated as an out of town patient depends on whether or not you are traveling with a companion as well as your required return date.  Read below for more information.

How many areas can I have treated if I am traveling alone?

Out of town patients are limited to 4 areas per procedure if traveling alone.  If you are traveling alone and want more than 4 areas treated, you will need to have two procedures and then you must wait a full day before flying home.  For example, if you want your upper and lower abdomen, love handles, hips, arms and inner thighs treated (6 areas total), you would need to have two appointments. The first would be for your upper and lower abdomen, love handles and hips (4 areas).  The following day (or any day thereafter) you would return to our office for your arms and inner thighs (2 areas).  The day after your arms you should rest at your hotel and then fly home the following day.

How many areas can I have treated if I am traveling with a friend?

If you are traveling with a companion or friend, the number of areas you can have treated depends on your height and weight.

How do I get to your office?

The decision to rent a car or take a taxi is a personal one. Remember, if you have more than 3 areas treated, you cannot drive yourself after your procedure. Round trip taxi service from the airport to our center and back costs approximately $80.  We can arrange a taxi back to the airport or your hotel after your procedure is finished. Do not plan on taking the public bus.

What is the closest airport?

The closest airport is LAX. Depending on traffic, the drive from LAX to our office is between 30 and 50 minutes. You can also fly into the Burbank airport, but it is slightly farther from our office than LAX.

What hotel should I choose?

The decision of what hotel to choose depends on whether or not you are traveling alone and how many areas you have treated. If you are traveling alone and having 2 or more areas treated, we ask that you stay at the Luxe Hotel, which is a half block from our office. Patients staying at the Luxe can walk to their appointment and one of our Team staff will walk you back to the hotel and make sure that you are comfortable. The Luxe rate for our patients is $239 (Superior) or $259 (Deluxe) per night based on occupancy through the end of December 31, 2008. They can be reached at 310-273-0300.

If you are traveling with a friend or are having 1 or 2 areas treated, there are many hotels near our office. Prices range from $100 to over $1000 a night. If you are using an online hotel reservation website, we suggest that you select a hotel that is in or near the city of Beverly Hills. Several upscale hotels in Beverly Hills have special recovery suites for patients who have undergone plastic surgery. These suites afford additional privacy and attention, but they are unnecessary. Aside from room service, you will not likely require any special services or an overnight nurse.

NOTE: If you are staying at a hotel, be aware that extra cleaning fees may apply if you stain the sheets, towels or mattress with fluid drainage. Our office will send you home with blue protective pads for your hotel bed, however we suggest that you bring an old towel with you for added protection.

How early should I arrive for my appointment?

Due to the unpredictable nature of travel, please plan your flight schedule so that you arrive several hours or the day before your appointment. Our procedure schedule is set in advance and we cannot accommodate patients who do not arrive on time for their appointment.  Please arrive on time for your appointment.

Do I need to bring anything or purchase supplies before my procedure?

No. You will be given all the medications, supplies, instructions and garments you will need for your recovery. You will not need to go to the pharmacy.  If you are planning on traveling the day of your procedure, wear comfortable clothes (sweat suits are ideal) and please pack lightly since carrying heavy luggage immediately after your procedure is not advised.   Please download and read the pre-procedure and post-procedure instructions before arriving.

Are follow up appointments required?

Follow up appointments for our out of town patients are not required. Our office will stay in contact with you over the phone and you can schedule a follow up appointment any time your travels take you back to Beverly Hills.
